
Overview
Physical barriers fail in two directions. They are ignored where they are inconvenient, and they cannot tell an authorised electrician from a member of the public. Traditional passive protection — cones, tape, signage — has no way to report that it has been breached at all.
The EF1000 replaces the passive boundary with an active one. A 24 GHz millimetre-wave radar scans a full 360° horizontally to a range of 6 m, unaffected by darkness, dust or temperature. A Bluetooth reader adds identity: only people wearing an authorised tag are permitted inside, and anyone else triggers an audible and visual alarm on the unit plus a notification to the remote manager.
Detection logic runs locally, so the fence keeps guarding even when the network is down. It runs from a 5,000 mAh battery for up to twelve working days, mounts on a magnetic base with no wiring, and is configured entirely from the app — detection range, alarm volume and warning tone, with firmware updated remotely.

Adjustable detection zones
Low, medium and high range settings (0–3 m and 0–6 m) let you define the guarded zone to suit the task rather than accepting a single fixed radius.
Edge computing, network independent
Radar data is processed on the device. If the network drops, the fence keeps detecting and alarming locally — the basic protection does not depend on connectivity.
Identity-based access
An authorised-tag whitelist means only approved personnel can enter. An unauthorised intrusion raises a local audible and visual alarm and notifies the remote manager at the same time.
Cloud configuration and updates
Detection range, alarm volume and warning tone are set from the app, and firmware is updated over the air. Changing the configuration does not require a site visit.
Remote supervision
Working hours Statistics, heart rate and blood oxygen (with wristband), attendant absence alerts, and intrusion alerts both while the site is manned and while it is not.

Frequently asked questions
Does darkness or bad weather affect detection?
No. Millimetre-wave radar does not depend on visible light, and the detection performance is stable across rain, dust, fog and temperature variation — the conditions in which camera-based systems degrade.
How long does the battery actually last?
Up to 12 days on a duty cycle of 8 hours per day with 300 alarms, and approximately 3 months in standby. The battery is rechargeable, so the unit is redeployed rather than replaced.
Can it tell the difference between a worker and a member of the public?
It identifies whether a person is carrying an authorised tag rather than identifying the individual person. Anyone without an authorised tag triggers the intrusion alarm, which is the behaviour you want at a boundary regardless of who the intruder is.
Does it need a network connection to protect the area?
No. Detection and local alarming run on the device. The network is used for remote notification and cloud configuration; losing it degrades reporting, not protection.
Can it be moved between locations?
Yes — that is the intended use. The magnetic base and battery power mean no wiring is required, and configuration is done from the app, so a single unit can follow the work front.
