New Standard requires:

The new GB/T 50493-2019 "Petrochemical Combustible Gas and Toxic Gas Detection and Alarm Design Standard" has more clear requirements for alarm systems.

The gas detector is set up more clearly

1. The single-component gas medium that belongs to both combustible gas and toxic gas should be equipped with a toxic gas detector.

2. When combustible gas and toxic gas exist at the same time, the concentration of combustible gas and toxic gas may reach the alarm setting value at the same time when leaking, the combustible gas detector and toxic gas detector should be set respectively.

Confined space monitoring equipment should be regularly maintained, and the causes of alarm should be carefully found, such as gas leakage in the tested environment, unreasonable alarm value setting, failure to calibrate on time, sensor damage, equipment line problems, etc. According to the provisions of "Combustible Gas Detection Alarm" (JJG 693-2011) to verify the detection and alarm device, and the cycle is generally not more than 1 year to prevent sensor problems and zero drift. If the instrument is subjected to severe vibration or shock, or if important components are replaced or repaired, it should be calibrated in time. If the detection alarm device is found to be unqualified or faulty, it shall be repaired or replaced immediately.
